Turning 2!

Whitney's birthday started early. We had to be in Herriman a 9a for Braxton's baby blessing and after was the luncheon which turned out quite nicely. Later that night we had everyone over at the Evans for cake and ice cream. Whit was loving her party. She was thrilled that she had more presents to open. Sadly I think her birthday ended up having more gifts than Christmas. I saved a little too much for the birthday and a long with every one's gifts-there was a lot! She loved all her presents, but I think her favorite was the Tinkerbell toy on her cake, Barbie movie, and the 3 wheeler she got. Oh and the candy from her cousins-she LOVES candy! It was a fun day for her. I just cant believe she is 2 already! I think for her birthday I will make a tribute to her by writing all the things I just LOVE about her. Someday when she's older I'll have her read it.
Whitney is.....
so sweet with her brother. I can tell already what a good little mother she will be. I love how excited she is every time she hears the door unlock when Russ comes home. She always turns her head, eye opened wide, and says...."Daddy's home...OOhhhh!"-then runs to the door to greet him. I love that every time that Barney song comes on she comes over hugs and kisses me and brother, and sings- I love you.....you love me. Best part is when she says it looking into your eyes. She is so affectionate. She's also a big helper. She is always wanting to clean when I clean and helps throw things away. (Even the things you don't want thrown away, like her cloths--I still cant find her pink pants....I think I have a pretty good idea where those ended up.) I love that Whitney loves to sing. All day long she is singing and it amazes me how many songs she knows. (I have to thank Barney and Nursery for that one) Whitney is very smart. Already just turning 2, she knows 12 of her letters, the alphabet song, she counts to 10, only confusing 7,8,9 out of order and knows a few of her colors. You can really tell she likes to pay attention and learn new things. She loves reading books. She wont let you put her to bed until she has read a couple of books. Sometimes in the middle of the night she gets up and cries at the door.....mama a book....pwease...a book-Of course its "No, go back to bed"... cause Mommy is way too tired. I love that she knows the system with going potty in the toilet and treats received for doing so. She pee's a little, waits a little while, pee's a little more....and so one. That way she gets more treats every time-I think I need to start giving stickers instead. I think my most favorite thing about Whitney is, she loves to pray. She always reminds us to pray during dinner-she's ready before the food gets on the plates! She folds her arms and is reverent every time there is a prayer. She also tried to mimic the person praying with her mumbles. Very cute! What a sweetheart she is! I hope she will always stay that spiritual!! LOVE YOU WHITNEY!
