CHRISTMAS morning: Whit, Paul, and I came down stairs to see what Santa had brought us! (Russ was video taping of course) Whitney was so excited and LOVED opening her presents, and helping brother with his. Thanks to hand me down toys, Santa barely spend any money on Christmas and had a tree full of gifts!
This year was fun because Whitney really got into it! I just love watching her excitement with every gift and toy. Even the cloths were thrilling. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. It's also so neat to have this new addition to our family. Whitney sure loves her brother and has so much fun with him. It will be so fun to see him when he's bigger and able to play with his sister. Families really are what life is all about. I am truly blessed to have a great little family!!
For Christmas Russ got me a great gift. He gave me a darling card with a nice note of love, a coupon for 2 new outfits-which is needed, and a check for 285,000 dollars! Now before you get too jealous, I'll have you know that sadly I can not cash it...but what a fun way to give the gift of a house! We should be breaking ground in the middle of January!! EXCITING!
That day we were well enough to go see my mom and family for a bit and go to enjoy the Evans family party. It was so much fun! I went half way through the night without coughing up a lung. The other half wasn't so pretty-but we made it through Christmas. Whitney seemed pretty good the whole night which is the most important anyway. Christmas eve was a little boring since we just sat on the couch watching TV. But over all, we're glad that we were well enough to enjoy.
By the way, I would like to apologize for not getting out Christmas cards this year. Sadly our little picture with the kids and Santa wasn't given to us till the week before Christmas and I don't need to remind anyone about the kind of state I was in then....so here is a little LATE Christmas greeting from us to you!
We hope you all had a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!
