Our Little Critter!!

IDENTICAL! - I use to read those books all the time when I was a kid. Never thought my daughter would look like one!!

SaNtA cLaUsE!

Decorating the house was so much fun. Whitney and I surprised dad when he came home by putting up the tree, all the Christmas decorations, having Christmas music play with just the tree light on, and having a Yummy dinner ready. Whit loves the Christmas lights, thank goodness for plastic ornaments! I was thankful for Mickey's Christmas to keep Whitney entertained while I was hard at work.

Whitney was able to see SANTA for the first time. She didn't cry at all, but was definitely nervous, so was her cousin Avery. Santa gave Whitney one of her favorite treats....candy canes! YUM!

Turkey Day

I've been a little slacker with the blog, but here's a catch up.....
This year we had two Thanksgivings! Thanksgiving Day was at my Mom's and the next day we went to Russ' parents house. It was quite a feast both days! Well in honor of Thanksgiving I'll just say a things I am thankful for. I'm thankful for Mom's that can cook-cause they both cook nebulously. I am thankful for my wonderful husband who works hard and sacrifices so his family can have the things they need. I'm especially grateful that he has made it possible for me to stay home with Whitney and knows how strongly I feel about that. I am thankful for FaMiLy! I'm so happy that both our families get a long well and for the many different personalities that keeps it fun and interesting! I am grateful for my relationship with Russ. Although we have our moments that we want to grab the shoulders and shake 'em hard, maybe even choke them a little....but once calm again, you really see the beauty in the relationship and are so thankful you have it and never want it to end. I am thankful for the gospel in our lives and especially for righteous values and standards that help us to be good people. I truly believe that living the gospel standards brings happiness, because when you make the right choices in life you are blessed, they teach you to be kinder, more loving, serving, forgiving, and especially wise. I am thankful for all the noble and honorable men and women who serve in for the church and for our country. I am thankful for good examples. Last but not least, I am grateful for our little Whitney who has brought so much joy, entertainment, and love into our family. One of my favorite things is to watch the love Russ has towards his daughter and how happy we make him. It's so fun to see her clap and give big hugs and kisses when he comes home, and to get cuddles at night. CHILDREN MAKE LIFE FUN!

Halloween!

This year was Whit's first Halloween!

She was WHITNEY the POOH! Russ was Tigger and I was Eeyore. I spent a lot of time making costumes for Russ and I! They turned out better than I thought! Russ wore his costume at the Metcalf and Evans party, but I couldn't convince him to go trick or treating. He'd make a fool of himself with family, but definitely not neighbors and friends. But our cousin Jessica came up to visit and she was a good sport and wore it treat or treating. Sadly I didn't have my camera at the party, but we did get some pictures of Russ in that costume , so when I get them, I'll be sure to post them :D He made quite a cute tigger!

Wow...time to catch up on October

Here is some stuff thats being going on this month......

Snow Bird

This week my family has a condo at snowbird. My parents have owned this time share since they got married, and every year at this time we head up and hang out. Its brought a lot of fun memories to us and it so much fun to be able to take Russ and Whit up there now! We've been relaxing, gone swimming, hot tubing, hiking/nature walking, gone to the game room, sat in the steam room, and gone to the October Fest! Its felt like a mini vacation up there in the beautiful mountains. I love this time of year because all the leaves are changing color and the temp is nice and cool. Whit and I have spent the night up there from Sat till Tues while Russ has been at home going to work. He slept over Sat night though! I'll be honest, I feel pretty spoiled having the best job in the world-being a mom-making in possible to hang out up here at the Bird. Whit has had a lot of fun too going to the playground, hanging out with her Granny, Aunts and Uncles, and especially her cousin Avery.

NeW hAiR cUt!

I finally did something crazy........cutting 8 inches off my hair never felt so good. Russ is not one for short hair, but he encouraged me to do it when I told him about a Jennifer Aniston hair cut I found the other day. He was going to get a hair cut from my sister Ashley that night anyway, so I joined in the fun and she went a choppin'!! I love it! She does an EXCELLENT job.
So if you need a cute hair style or just something fun and different......go to Ash!! Ashley Anderson: 801-512-6917

Lake Tahoe Trip

This weekend we drove down to Reno and Lake Tahoe for a wedding. The car ride was actually pretty fun and entertaining. Thank heavens for electronics; watching movies made the time go a lot quicker, not saying that the Rich Evans entertainment wasn't fun........
Our hotel in Reno was actually pretty good! We all shared the room which had a small kitchen, two bathrooms, two queen beds and the hide a bed!
We arrived in the evening giving us a little time to walk around the streets of Reno! Not some where I'd want to live for sure. The next day we drove to Tahoe for the wedding.

Coming down the aisle!
On the road the girls watched 27 dresses which was perfect for the occasion. We commented on the part they talked about when the groom looks at the bride coming down the aisle~ Well here it is! Definitely one of the best pictures of the wedding! He was a happy little guy!!

The angelic bride Amanda and her groom Christian!

Kissy Kissy~ Husband and Wife!
Half of the reception was held in California and the other half was in Nevada! Pretty fun!!

Racoon's!!

DON'T YOU HATE....that feeling when the blue and Red flashing lights are behind you and you have to pull over? ..................

Well Russ was driving home from Tahoe after the wedding and was going a little too fast! The police man asked what the hurry was? And specific questions like "where we've been, where are we going, what hotel room we were staying at?.....but of course, my Rusty, charming as he is, played it cool and got away with a warning! How is he always so lucky? I always get tickets and never warnings!! So the little bit of money he won on roulette is not going toward a ticket thank heavens! And Yes... Russ gambled a little-he played roulette twice and won 20$ off the money Roger was nice enough to give us. He walked away after winning twice in a row.... SMART BOY! (besides, He was just showing me how to play.....wink wink!) But he's not the only one that gambled...Linda and I played the nickel slots a few of times.

The best part of the trip was arriving at Granny's and seeing Whitney! She couldn't stop hugging me.....it was the cutest thing ever. She would look at me, hug me, look back up at me again, than hug me again. Over and Over she did this! She is so scrumptious! Momma and Daddy really missed her.
