Russ put together this video-check it out!!
Well we are back from our trip and glad to be back home with our little Whitney again. We missed her so much! She got so big since we were gone. It felt like we were away for a month or more, instead of the week in a half that we were. While we were gone she has learned to hold her bottle and is really good at rolling over. She had fun sleeping over at Granny Carols, and at Pop Pop and Gammy Evans house.
Although we missed Whit so much, we were happy that we didn't bring her. We were able to do a lot of things we wouldn't have otherwise been able to do. Here is a run down of what we did.
MONDAY We flew to NY then to Ft Lauderdale FL. We watched "Lost" the whole way there so it went fast and was very entertaining! When we got in we went to Miami beach and did a little shopping, and drove around in our nice convertible.
TUESDAY-We drove down through the Florida keys. About mid-way before we got to the 7 mile bridge we stopped to get lunch and across the street from the pizza place we saw a sign that said Bi-Plane rides. We called the number and were in the air on the plane just a few minutes later. RUSS was sooo excited and I think this made his whole trip!! I really had fun, but got a little sick towards the end. My stomach isn't what it used to be since I've been pregnant and old. :) Then we arrived in Key West and walked around and did some shopping. We drove back that night and got back to our hotel pretty late! We were tired but what a blast!
WEDNESDAY-Slept in-Then we went to the cruise ship and set sail to Nassau Bahamas. We hated the ship because it was old, little, and out room was like a closet. We also were under the kitchen or something because our room stunk so bad like curry and bacon. The boat rocked a lot making me a little sick because it was a smaller boat. Luckily it was only a 3 day cruise so we could tolerate it. The ship was called the Bahamas celebration.
THURSDAY-We docked in Nassau and we went over to Atlantis. There we saw a little bit of the aquarium and went to the beach to snorkel and lay out. WE BURNED our bodies really bad. I think this was the first time I've seen Russ really burned. SPF 4 doesn't really work that well.
Friday -Got of the ship and ran to our car in the pouring rain. We were drenched just from getting off the shuttle bus to the car. We then drove three hours to Orlando and did a half day at Universal Studios.
SATURDAY- We went to Kennedy Space Center. This is Russ' passion and was like a kid in a candy store. We both loved it! We were sad that we didn't make the launch earlier that week. We flew in too late, too bad. That night we went to my cousins house Lisa (Metcalf) and Brad Bair. We had dinner and went swimming. Her five kids (Brittany, Kasey, Jeff, Courtney, Aubrey) are so cute!!! We had a blast!
SUNDAY- We went to Universal and had so much fun! The weather was beautiful and we did a lot of fun rides and shows.
MONDAY- HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!!! We went to Universal again and had a lot of fun. What a great way to spend a birthday! After we went to visit Russ' family, had a big dinner, and just talked for hours. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet a lot of them for the first time. They made me a cake with ice cream to celebrate my birthday. How sweet of them. It was so much fun to be with them.
TUESDAY-packed up and went home -man were we anxious to get home to see my little sweetie. The nine hour flight was way too long. We had the 2 hour layover in NY like last time. But once again, we watched our Lost series which made time go faster. When I arrived in SLC and started to drive home, that drive from the airport to Draper never felt so long.
