Congrats Russ on your graduation! Today we were able to go to Russ' graduation and watch him receive his Masters in Mechanical Engineering! We are so proud of him. In the morning we listened to a great talk by David McCullough, who is the author of 1776, John Adams, & Truman. His speech was great and very inspirational, and at the end he talked about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge and how he encourages all of us to travel to see it: "In closing I urge each and all of you to make it a point some time to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. You will never forget it. Go with a friend, a fellow spirit, and on a beautiful day like this one. The view is spectacular, the breezes blow free, the bridge itself is a masterpiece." http://www.unews.utah.edu/p/?r=050809-8 ---(click the link to see the speech)
We will be the first ones to heed his advice because we will be there on Monday!! SWEET!
In the afternoon we went back up to the Huntsman Center where Russ and all the graduates walked. What a cool site it was to see so many people, with all those colored robs, knowing how much intelligence and potential lies in that one building. Russ, along with many others I'm sure, has worked really hard!! Congrats again honey! We are so proud of you!!
After we were finished we went to Chili's (Russ' favorite restaurant) with family and friends to celebrate! It was a blast and we are thankful for all that came to support!
(Don't worry I'll post a few pictures later )
