Evans Family Reunion!

This last weekend we had a lot of fun camping over night in Manti near Palisade Park. We camped with Rich/Lisa, Steve/Linda/Mollie, & Mark/Mickelle! It was so much fun being with them. We all traveled down there for the Evans family reunion held at the Palisade Park on Saturday. Our four families decided to head down earlier and camp over night. We had the best dinner, Russ made these Yummy pork chops, the best pork I've had in a long time. I love that my husband is a good cook!! It was really hot during the day, and through out the evening. We were lucky to be right next to a stream, cooling it down a little, not as much as we would have liked, but it was nice to be able to dip into the stream a little-it really helped Whit to cool down. At night was ok, I had to get up a couple of times to get her a bottle. Trying to heat up water for a bottle camping in the middle of the night is a joke. But other than needing a bottle a time or two, she slept really good. Thank heavens for air mattress'!!
Although it was sad for Lisa, she was sick most the time she was there. I know her own bathroom and bed would have been a nice thing-what a trooper!!

On Saturday we played in the lake, had fun in the canoes and paddle boats, and ate good food while visiting with great people. We had so much fun with everyone. It was a little too hot, but luckily the lake was nice and cool. Whit loved playing in the lake-our little water baby!! There was a little platform that people could play on, Russ and the boys were throwing the kids off of it into the water! We also played bachi ball-this game is played a lot in Croatia too-I like it! Russ and Packer found some water balloons and ran around gettin' everyone! He really got his dad good:

Right after everyone had dinner, just before we all started cleaning up, we had this huge wind surge. It blew everything everywhere. I went to go get all our water stuff before it blew away and I swear it almost blew me and Whitney away. I just ran to the car and stuffed her in there with all the stuff.

She looked so cute in that pile of stuff. She loved it-nice and soft!
Sadly when we got back home, Whit got sick and had a temperature of 103. I felt so bad for her, and I think she had heat stoke or something. I kept her in the shade most the time, but she didn't drink as much as I would have liked. Poor little Whit, but all in all we had a blast.
