What a pain it is....

...to update blogs. I just need to give myself more me time to blog-seriously.

Well, THANKSGIVING was quite fun. We were with the Evans this year and had a fabulous dinner. Love turkey day, basking in all it's yummy-ness, and hanging out having fun with family. I have to be honest-I don't hate my in-laws. Shocking I know!! I really have a lot of fun with Russ' family and very rarely do I get sick of them. Everyone just bring something different to the table that's entertaining and fun. Whit sure had a lot of fun hanging with all the grand kids. Its nice to see her out of that stage, playing more with kids and not being such a mama's girl. Paul is such a delight-barely remember that he's there because he is such a good baby! Well this year I was a little cheater. I did not make a thing, just bought a Costco pie (which are the best by the way-No way could I make a better pie than that!) I'm not too worried though, I have many years to come where I'll be domestic.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Russ and I took a picture of our little man for Veteran's Day!
(Daddy decided to add the gun-)

HAPPY HOLLOWEEN

Welcome to the world buddy....

PAUL WARREN EVANS
Born: 10/20/2010 at 11:11am
Weight: 7lbs 11oz
Height: 20in

Mom at the hospital....minutes before birth!
Coming home from the hospital, picking up Whitney from Grammy and Pop-Pops!

I was scheduled for a C-Section on Nov. 20th at 5pm, but went into labor the night before he was due. We headed down to drop Whitney off at Granny Carols and headed to the hospital at 8:00a-they admitted me right away because they didn't want me to have hard labor. I was about 5 min apart w contractions, but only dilated to a 1 1/2-they took me to the operating room and gave me a spinal injection-which is the weirdest feeling. I was literally paralyzed, worst and most frustrating feeling ever. But no pain!! After a lot of cutting this little man came out! My recovery on Paul was a lot better than Whitney, I guess the spinal injection is a lot better, plus not being labor for a full day helped out too! We so happy he is here-what a joy he is, and a good baby!!

CRAFTS

Here are some crafts I've been doing to keep myself busy while waiting for this baby!
Halloween Bat's -idea from the wood connection.

Halloween table cloth- giving my white walls a little bit of color....
Two airplane blankets for Paul -We'll Whitney has already taken a liking to them, so one for Whit and Paul will take the other. I got the airplane fabric from old blankets handed down to me. Since I can't find cute airplane fabric anywhere, I improvised-cut up the blankets and re-finished them with some soft cuddly fabric.

Historic Wendover Air Show

Sept 25th we went to the air show for the day in Wendover! Whitney is her Daddy's clone and is obsessed with airplanes! She had a lot of fun watching them and running around. Luckily she fell asleep at the perfect time when the F-18 came out and was really loud. She hates wearing the ear set, but luckily she didn't stir at all when we snuck the ear set on while she was sleeping! I was very thankful that I brought an umbrella to block the sun-it was a little hot for this prego mamma! There was lot of cool cars there too, our favorite-the bat mobile-pretty sweet!
Whit in Mom's stylin' glasses I never wear. She loves wearing them, guess its time for me to buy her a pair.

REUNION FUN!

This year we went up to the Christiansen's cabin for our Cunningham reunion. The last time we went there for a reunion I was pregnant with Whitney. Hopefully one year we'll go when I'm not with child so I can tare up the mountain on the four wheelers. But luckily there is so much to do -good food, games, four wheeling, shooting, golfing, swimming, camp fires, jumping, you name it, its up there! Especially relaxing with good company, that's always the best! This year Whit and I slept inside on a bed while Daddy was in the tent. He loves sleepin' outside, but for me.....a bed sounded much nicer! Sadly I slept with the world biggest wiggle worm on top of myself wiggling to get comfortable-not much sleep was had.

MORNING BED HEAD! And yes, her hair looks like that most mornings!

My little BIG jumper!!

Shades! NICE!
Karen and I!
Gotta love shooting! I did ok, Russ shot well of course, but the trophy goes to Andrew a first time shooter who hit the target more than all of us!! BRAVO!

On MONDAY we hiked up Timpanogas Cave. Going up was not as bad as I thought it would be for being 6 months prego, but for me down was the hardest....talk about shakin' baby syndrome inside the womb. Whitney enjoyed the ride on her dad, and at the end of the hike fell fast asleep.
Whit zonked out....
A smiling girl after the long hike......love it!!
That night we went to a play at Sundance. Sadly we didn't get the best of seats-we sat on a wood wall next to the isle and grass. I think the play was good, but lets just say I was exhausted to tears and just kept wondering when it was going to end.
After getting rested we woke up early and went to see off our California family! What a fun weekend, wish it wouldn't have to end. We're still trying to talk Roger, Karen and fam into coming to live in Utah-they are so great and fun-we miss them so much!
