What a mess......

Last night it started off great, but ended in disaster. I did my usually feeding at 4am and it only took 20 min than she was asleep again. So carefully I started changing her diaper so we could be done and back in bed in no time. I took off the diaper, cleaned her up, and right when I was going to put her diaper on, boom! The explosions happened. All I could think of doing is putting my hand over her bum to stop the poop from going everywhere. Well my hand was covered, my clothes were hit, and the couch had it all over as well. Well after bathing her, cleaning the couch, the blanket she was on, her cloths, and everything else the poop got, it was two hours later. But that wasn’t it. Stupid me, being so tired, after her bath I put her in a towel and set her in her bouncer with a blanket under both her and the towel and finished up what I was doing. I was only a min. or so, but that was long enough. She peed all over going straight through the towel and blanket, soaking her chair. Ahhhhh. If she wasn’t so cute, I’d be really fuming! All I could do was look at her cute face and the smile she had during all this and just laugh. It was 6a and I went to bed, but sadly two hours later I was up feeding again. I’m one tired mommy!! Needless to say, after church we had a really long nap! Gotta love those!!

Happy Moments!

This morning after I finished feeding Whit, I was just holding her in my arms and she had turned her head away from me and just stared at something or someone giving the biggest smile and a little squeak of laughter. Just makes me wonder sometimes what angels are around us that we aren’t aware of. I truly believe that the veil is really thin, and people are down her with her at this early age. Well whoever was visiting this morning, she was really happy to see them. What a smile that person got. I tend to think that it’s my Dad popping in for a visit to see how we are doing. This month on the 6th was his birthday. It makes me sad to not have him here experiencing things with us, but it reassures me that he sees them, even though we can’t see him. One thing I am grateful for is the knowledge of the gospel and knowing that families are eternal. I can’t wait to be able to see my Dad again! I’m so blessed to be a parent. Whitney has brought so much joy to our already joyous marriage. There’s a little piece of heaven looking into her eyes! I just hope that I can be a great parent like my parents have been for me!!
Miss Whit as been a little off on her schedule. Sunday night she didn’t go to bed until 4a and woke up again at 8a to feed. That silly turkey! Sadly for Dad he was the one that was up with her till 4a, than Mom took over, so I had a little bit of sleep. We both have been pretty tired lately. She really is a night owl like her Dad. So Monday we decided to be a little mean and keep her awake as much as we could. She was not too happy sometimes when we woke her up. Dad even put her face in water at the sink so she would keep her eyes opened. Torturous I know, but it worked! She went to bed at 10:30p and didn’t get up to feed until 4a, went to sleep 20min later and woke up at 8a. Now that’s what I’m talking about! We like those kind of nights! I feel really rested after that night. Luckily for Dad, I took over that night since he’s been doing homework and staying up late.

Here are some fun pictures that we have been taking lately…

Here is my balancing act with Dad!

Here I'm holding my bottle for the first time. That didn't last very long :)

Here I am in my new bouncer chair! I love it!!

Six weeks already!!!

Since Whitney is 6 weeks already, Sunday Feb. 16th, was her first time to go to church. She looked so beautiful in her dress. Everyone was telling us how beautiful she was and when she went to Young Womens with mom we had show and tell. Everyone was gooing and aahhhing over her. All the girls loved her!! Luckily for us she slept through most of church, so she was a very good girl!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!
This Valentines we made sugar cookies and took them around to our family and friends. Here is little Whit in her cute Valentines outfit! She had a lot of fun with her cousins!

What a cutie pie!!!

Whit is just starting to follow things with her eye's and whenever you talk to her she will start looking. Yesterday, Feb. 2nd, she was a month old!!
Daddy like daughter-they happened to be sleeping in the exact same way!
Her first captured smile! She always smiles and laughs in her sleep. She happened to wake up just as she smiled!
Avery and Whitney-Best friends!
(Avery is Ashley's little girl)
She is always sleeping with her hands on her face or both up above her head!
Here is her first bath at home!

Here is her "little peanut" elephant outfit that she went home in from the hospital.
