Russ' Trip

Here are some pictures of Russ' work trip he went on. He flew into Philadelphia, stayed in Delaware, and worked in Maryland! He had so much fun out there!




Comin' Home!!

Daddy's coming home tomorrow!! Whit and Mommy are so excited to have Russ back. One more sleep and we pick him up at the airport. Its going to be a crazy weekend for Russ because as soon as he gets back home, we are leaving to Manti for the weekend to camp. We have a family reunion up there and I'm having everything packed and ready to go for when he gets back. He is going to be one tired daddy, but we are so excited to go down there. It will be a blast!

Happy Birthday Avery!

Avery turned one today (My sister Ashley's daughter) Whitney went to her birthday party and had lots of fun swimming in the kid pool with Av, Alyssa, Crew, and Carter- I told Russ on the phone, since he is still out of town, that Whit found a boyfriend while dad was gone. Her and Crew were having so much fun splashing together. Carter is Avery's boyfriend-they always play good together. But now Whit has Crew. Daddy said "no she doesn't...she cant have a boy friend, only her daddy". Pretty funny! Just wait until she is a teenager with an actual "real" boyfriend....it's going to be ugly. Hee hee! Watch out dad!! I slept over night at my moms house and cleaned all day to get ready. My mom is still gone at camp, so sadly she missed the party. It was a lot of fun eatin' pizza, cake, ice cream, snow cones, and cotton candy! We went all out on this one!! The bigger kids had a slippin' slide which was fun! Happy 1st Avery!!

Well this morning at 4:30a we woke up and took Russ to the airport. He is working in Maryland for the week for work. Tonight Whit and I are having a sleep over with Grammy and Pop-pop Evans! I'm going to help Linda paint her washroom tomorrow! This week luckily I'm going to stay pretty busy so that's always nice-But we hope that Russ has a lot of fun! Whit and I miss him already but we're excited he gets to go. Hopefully he has a chance to see the sites! He was pretty excited about going!!

Payson Lakes

Well this weekend Russ had Friday off so we went down to Payson Lakes and slept overnight with my mom, Shel, Ky, Jayme and Sean. This was the first time that Whit slept in a tent and she did very well. She was a little scare since it was so dark, but snuggling her face into moms chest made thing a lot better. It was so much fun to be up there. My relatives were already up there so it was fun to be with them. We use to go up there every year, the week after the fourth. We haven't gone for a few years now that most of us are married and my dad being gone. It was so fun to be up there again and it brought back a lot of memories! Russ even brought the canoe so we could paddle around the lake. Whit went swimming a little, but the water was pretty cold so it didn't last long! I just love camping....just sitting around the camp fire, foil dinners, smores, relaxing in camp chairs, and catching up with family/friends while staring at the beautiful stars and the intriguing camp fire. I don't know why its so easy to just stare at fire! It was so much fun!! I think we'll have to pick up the tradition again!! :D

4th of July Weekend!

Well I decided to deck Whit and I out for the 4th! It is one of my favorite holidays! We had a blast going to Fair View on Friday sleeping over at Christiansen's cabin. We played games, played on a water slide, had a fun BBQ, and roasted marshmallow's! It was a lot of fun. Whit had a hard time sleeping at first because I think she was scared of the room being too dark. But once she was snuggled in between mom and dad she went right to sleep!

Then in Sat. morning we went to my old neighborhood's breakfast. Thirty years this year-and I think it was the last year! The 4th is never the same with out it. After the breakfast, we had a nice nap, and watched a John Adams series about the declaration of Independence. Very appropriate for the holiday I thought! There were so many men that were God sent to make this country what it is!! After the movie we went swimming at the Demars' and had a BBQ with Chris and Mindy at their house. That was a lot of fun to be with them. After the BBQ we went to the Riverton fair, rode rides, and watched the fireworks. They were really long....and good. Every time they'd have a bunch of fireworks go off and we'd say.....oh this is the finally, but nope, we'd see a couple more shoot up. It happened like 8 times. They lasted for 30 min.-that's pretty good for fireworks! Whitney just loved looking up at the bright lights in the sky and was laughing! She was such a good baby all day long, especially at 10p at night with the loud noise of those fireworks. Its so nice to have such a good baby!! It was a happy 4th!

I am so excited to celebrate the 4th of July! I am so grateful for all the many wonderful people who have given their lives for our freedom. FREEDOM NEVER IS FREE! Our Heavenly Father has blessed us to be in this great nation and for this family America will always be one nation under God! Because of Him we have this great land and feedoms. We will never forget that!
