Happy Fathers Day!

Father’s Day was a pretty nice day. Whit and I woke up and made Daddy some bacon and pancakes to start his day off. We went to church and Whit and I tickled his back. After church we went to Russ' parent’s house and had a fun BBQ with the fam., visited Devin and Ginny, then headed to my mom’s for a bit. It turned out to be a pretty good day. I was a little out of sorts and I'm afraid I wasn’t the most pleasant person to be around. I tried really hard to enjoy the day and make the day special for Russ. I'll be honest, it’s a little tuff on Father’s Day for me having my dad gone. I'm too young to not have a father still here to go visit. The month of June is just generally hard. This next Monday the 29th is the anniversary of his death. It will be 4 years already! My Dad is a wonderful father and I'm grateful for the many things he taught me, the good time we had, and the unconditional love he showed towards me. He truly was and is a remarkable person. The saddest thing for me I think is that Russ didn’t have the change to meet him. They would have been great buddies I think-two peas in a pod. It makes me happy though knowing that their time to meet will happen and it will be Heaven being with him again.

-I am so thankful for Russ and for the great father he is toward our little girl. It’s so fun to watch him with Whitney. They love each other so much and have so much fun together. I'm so thankful I met such a wonderful man who takes good care of his family, who is full of love, who makes us laugh and is a lot of fun. Who's smart and good at what he does (I'm constantly learning new things with him), he's a rock in the gospel, love's his Heavenly Father, and loves his family. I know Russ it the type of person who would do anything for anyone. He is so sweet, easy going, and just plan lovable. Russ and I are the perfect match and I'm glad I found him. Happy Fathers Day to you honey! Whit and I love you very much!! XOXOXO

June 12th- MIRACLE WEDDINGS

Yes, I did say wedding(s)! Megan and Aaron's and Mark and Mickelle's wedding. (just to clarify for some, my sister Megan and Russ' brother Mark) Two very important weddings on the same day! Well all I can say it I've been trying to have faith and praying that things will work out well! My prayers were answered, and apparently someone had help me with their faith for miracles. All week long I drove down to Sandy to help my mom prepare for Megan's wedding in the yard. It was a little hard because, as many of you may know, its been POURING RAIN-monsoon season her in the Salt Lake Valley. Well we pulled it off and was ready for the wedding despite the rain. I say miracle weddings because you all saw how Friday was-BEAUTIFUL! Both weddings had the perfect weather!! And both weddings were perfect!! Both brides looked absolutely beautiful in their white dresses. Grooms were handsome too!! This is how the day played out for us. We dropped Whit off at Ginny Gregory's house around 9a-thanks again Gin for watching her-Then we went to the Draper temple and watched Mark and Mickelle married. What a powerful thing to watch two people joined together for eternity! Outside the temple we took pictures in front of that beautiful new temple. Now tell me if you'd be mad??? I was furious for them.....they walk outside for pictures and found out that their photographer had not shown up yet. Luckily Amy (our sister in law married to Russ' bro Andy) had her nice camera and does a beautiful job. Also Mickelle's uncle who use to do wedding pics had his camera and the two of them took pictures. Apparently the photographer had the wrong day. Who does that??? After finally getting a hold of her she showed up. I would actually have her fired if it were me. I was fuming for her. But they were both sweet and on cloud nine-good for them!!! That was my one advise for them-something will always go wrong on the wedding day! Theirs were pictures, mine was forgetting my dress, ripping my dress, and leaving our new in laws at the restaurant with no keys to get to the wedding. Hee hee! Anyway, after pictures we picked up Whit and went to the lunch in. That turned out very nice, and sadly we had to leave a little early. We rushed over to my Mom's house and at 2p (more like 2:30p) Megan and Aaron were joined together. It was so fun to see how happy she was and how beautiful she looked. Jayme was the flower girl and Sean the ring bearer. All the little girls were in this darling pink dresses! The yard was amazing. I cant believe how hard my Mom worked and how beautiful the wedding turned out. After the marriage we had the lunch in and pictures, then it was off to Mark and Mickelle's reception in Lindon. We took some pics, visited, and really enjoyed the ice cream bar they had-mmm yummy! Then I left Russ and Whit and I went back to Megan and watched her cut the cake and leave for the night. I also took some cute pics of Whit as well in her cute outfit. Each one of us had to change outfits for each wedding, so Whit was really happy I'm sure when she got her PJ's on and didn't have to change for the rest of the night. She was happy the whole day, despite all the changing and running around! Mom and Dad survived too! Right when Megan and Aaron left we started taking things in, and no kidding after the last picture was taken in, it start to rain. Two minutes after Mark and Mickelle left in their car, they got rained on up there. MIRACLE WEDDINGS!! Thanks Dad-I don't know how you pulled it off, but you must know some pretty powerful people up there! Not to mention the faith of people down here!! MIRACULOUS!

I have some cute ones of Whit on Mindy's camera-hopefully I can get them and post them soon.

June 6th - AIRSHOW

We had a blast going to the airshow up at Hill Air Force Base. It was Russ' first week up at Hill, and it was thrilling for him to start the week of with the air show going on. He would go outside and sit in the grass eating his lunch while watching the air crafts practise for the weekend. Ruff life hu! He also had the chance to go test and blow up the rocket that he was working on one day. He is just loving this job. This is definitely the ideal job for him. I'm so glad that he's sooo happy! Anyway, back to the air show. Well Friday I went to the store and bought stuff for the air show. I was preparing for a hot day-sunscreen, umbrella, food, etc. The morning of, I just didn't have it all together. We got to the base, took our seats and started to enjoy the show. Didn't last long cause Whit was getting hungry and stupid me I forgot to bring a bottle. Now tell me....How does a mother forget a bottle for her baby. That is a top priority things to bring, the one thing you think of first....food, bottles, formula. I felt like a horrible mother. But my Russ and my Mom came to the rescue. They went out and started asking people for an extra bottle. Its surprising how many people didn't have one, or they were breast feeding. I will from now on always have an extra bottle!!! One little family had an extra cause their baby was trying to quit bottles. We were in luck!! Thank heaven for them cause a hungry baby is not fun to listen to or deal with. Poor Whit. I was about ready to just pack up and go home. Forgetting the camera, and umbrella was not nearly as big a deal as the bottle. My mom told some soldier/worker there that they should put a little shop of things that people might of forgot. Trust me, people would pay a fortune when in need for things like that. The people didn't ask for money, but Russ gave them all the cash we had-4$. That's one expensive bottle-but well worth the money and sanity! We enjoyed the show and Whit just looked so darn cute in her big protective headphones.
After the airshow we had our families come over and see our new place and have a BBQ. It was so much fun! It turned out to be a good day!

June 4th

Was my last day at Wells Fargo!! Yay! I am so happy to be a stay at home mom with my beautiful Whitney! She's at a really fun age and its so great to be able to be with her all the time and not miss things. I am very lucky that I can stay home with her because a lot of moms cant do that! She has really started to find her voice-a loud high pitch scream-its that cutest! She's also moving her arms and kicking her legs. I can tell she just wants to go go go, but she's not quite there yet. Rolling over she is getting good at-only if she's trying to get something. Most the time she is being too lazy. Tummy time is not her favorite!
